"As Filipinos, in happiness and in sadness, we are all together in this," said Rose Mary Ranes-Villamayor from the True North Hinirang Eagles Club, reflecting the collective support experienced by many.

Christi-Ann Watkins, a performer at last year’s festival who still carries physical and emotional scars from the attack, spoke candidly about her recovery journey. “One year later, my body doesn’t feel like it belongs to me,” she confided, revealing the ongoing challenge of navigating her injuries while balancing motherhood and work.
